Strategic goals of an innovation-oriented company while going to an IPO

The article analyses the decision of making an IPO by an innovation-oriented company considering the system of strategic goal of the company. The author suggests the concept of innovation-oriented company and considers an IPO both as the way of funding and the way to boost its innovation potential. It is noted in the article that boosting of such a potential is possible only after the system of strategic goals is established and the influence of an IPO on all the elements of this system is defined. An IPO procedure is presented as an instrument of a growth corporate strategy which consists of functional strategies such as finance, production, marketing, HR. The author focuses on the aspects of functional strategies affected by an IPO therefore creating an analytical base for that managerial decision
