A classification of the main methodologies and techniques used in the analysis, design, development and implementation of control systems is shown. According to dedicated method groups are the characteristics and applications of different types of models are given. A technique for comprehensive evaluation of software quality based on Russian and international standards is described. A review of CASE-tools for the analysis and design of control systems used in Russia is contained in the article. A quality metric for a comprehensive assessment of CASE-tools is developed. The solution of the problem of rationale for choosing of CASE-tools for the analysis and design of enterprise management systems is contained.
