Development and Application of Innovative Direct Linear Drivers in High-Precision Machine-Building Equipment

The article considers the application prospects and examples of direct linear drives in high-precision machinebuilding equipment. Designing methodology for direct linear drives based on linear synchronous motor which works in the valve mode is offered and examples and technical characteristics of direct linear drives and test benches based on these drivers which was developed in State Engineering Centre of Moscow State Technological University “STANKIN” are shown.
