Application of shipbuilding technological solutions in container temperature logistics

One of the main tendencies of the world gas market during the last ten years is the constant growth of gas extraction as well as corresponding volume of international gas trade. Traditional pipelines become less interesting form of gas transportation in comparison to some innovational solutions. Liquid low temperature form of gas (LNG) transportation becomes an interesting variant of gas logistics both from technical and economic points of view. The membrane construction manufactured from innovational low scandium containing aluminum alloy allows solving the majority of problems connected with operation of analog traditional tanks: high construction weight, limited lifespan, not enough durability necessary for transporting dangerous flammable cargo. High efficiency of using innovative constructions is reached by decreasing construction weight and increasing significantly operational period of the innovational tank-container. The research was held as a comparison of different forms of gas logistics including automobile and railway transport means. The feasibility study proved high investment attractiveness of constructing and operating innovational tank-containers mainly because of low operational costs and longer depreciation period. Launching new production is usually connected with high capital expenses. Therefore, it makes sense to start manufacturing innovational tank-containers at already existing sites, which could be easily adapted for new technology. Shipbuilding yards are already acquainted with LNG-tankers construction technology. So the innovational tank-containers can be produced and such enterprises without significant additional investments, increasing efficiency of the traditional production
