Innovation infrastructure opinion about impediments to innovations in small business of Nizhny Novgorod region
The purpose of the research is to identify impediments caused by inefficient collaboration between actors of innovation process and small innovation business in Nizhny Novgorod region. The objects of the study are organizations and institutions of the innovation infrastructure of the region. The subjects of the study are barriers to development of small innovative businesses in the region. Empirical study was held in form of semi-structural personal interviews with experts and representatives of organizations of innovation infrastructure. Key actors of the innovation process were involved in the survey: private investors, seed funds, grant programs, consulting agencies, business-incubators, Universities, centers for entrepreneurship, local government etc. As a result following sets of problems were revealed: availability of financial resources, information provision about activity of supporting organizations, availability of services from outside organizations, accessibility of services for incubating the projects.
