Possibilities of using land resources for multifunctional rural development in the regions of the Northwestern Federal District

The article examines the land resources of the NWFD regions from the point of view of the existing potential and the possibilities of their use for the multifunctional development of rural territories, analyzes the structure of the distribution of land by category in the NWFD regions, considers the ratio of the main categories of land with the functions of rural territories, draws conclusions about possible directions of the use of land resources for the further development of rural territories and diversification of the rural economy in the NWFD regions.
