Technology transfer is one of the major forms of promotion of any innovation. In many companies, universities and governmental organizations, there are technology transfer centers, designed to determine the research that have commercial potential for their use. This article discusses the role of scientific and technological spin-off companies in the technology transfer process, clarifies the definition of scientific and technical spin-off enterprises and systematizes the diversity of the scientific and technical spin-off enterprises on classification criteria and discuss effective ways to support the target technological developments
