Reflection of the world tendencies in the design of information systems in the Russian practice: the results of the national research

The paper presents the results of the author’s research conducted in the spring of 2017 and covered 79 experts from all federal districts of Russia. One of the main goals of the research is to study the relevance of global trends in technologies, tools and approaches software development and design in Russian practice. The research showed that the main world trends, which are «at the peak» of popularity, are in demand in Russia. «New coming» world’s trends are not yet very popular, which leaves some potential for growth of competitive opportunities of Russian IT-companies in the global market. In the paper there are author’s explanations to the received results and estimations of the current state of the software development market in Russia
