First Results from Creation of Association of Innovation Enterprises which are Developers of Implants at Penza Region
Within the last 5 years there have been created more favorable conditions for development of innovative entrepreneurship in Penza region. It was fostered by opening of business incubators and technology parks, as well as financial support of startups on the part of administration of Penza city, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and RUSNANO. NPP “MedEng” contributed to the progress of innovations. Based on the experience of development and market penetration of prosthetic heart valves, we are implementing strategic programme of creating an association of the innovative entrepreneurship for certain projects. “Endocarbon” Ltd, “Cardioplant” Ltd, “NanoMed” Ltd, which received in due time support by the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises at Science and Technology according to the programme START, already brought products to medical market. They are actively developing no, creating start-ups around themselves. Latter projects supported by the Foundation, have developed medical devices to the prototype stage. These examples demonstrate successful strategic partnership between the Foundation and NPP “MedEng”. Meanwhile, not only financial component but the fact of government support, increasing team responsibility, are important. Together with infrastructure of NPP “MedEng”, which is utilized by the project participants, it creates a stable foundation for successful development of innovative entrepreneurship in Russia.
