Technology Platforms and Innovation Clusters in Russia: Together or Separately?
The article analyzes Russian government measures to stimulate innovations through support of technology platforms and innovation clusters. Key aspects of foreign experience in this area are presented and benchmarked against specificity of Russian developments. It is demonstrated that technology platforms and clusters so far are implemented as independent measures while their effectiveness could be higher if they would be better connected. In conclusion several directions of strengthening linkages between technology platforms and clusters are outlined.
