Partnership interaction as small innovative business competitiveness factor: empirical study

The paper presents the results of a survey of small innovative companies located in Novosibirsk Scientific Centre, aimed at the study of interaction between participants of the innovation system. It is shown that the creation and development of partnerships is an important factor of competitiveness of small business, particularly significant in terms of imperfect institutional and market environment. The study was conducted in two phases: the first phase consists of the in-depth interviews with company executives and helps to identify the structural schemes and synergies of actors of the innovation system. The second phase helped to assess the value and prospects of expansion the identified partnerships for the company.
