One of the burning issues, activity of the enterprises of light industry reducing efficiency, insufficient development of methodological base of assortment planning, shortage of simple programs in use, not only facilitating planning process, but also raising its quality is. In this regard there was a requirement of improvement of tools and methods of planning of the range. In this article one of ways of updating of an approach to formation of an assortment matrix is considered.
