Experience in quantitative analysis of the development of transport infrastructure in example of MEDA countries

A methodology for quantitative estimation of transport infrastructure was developed. It is tested on the basis of World Fact Book for the MEDA countries and their European partners. The methodology includes the calculation of linear and point of transport infrastructure density, procedures for normalizing the densities and the calculation of the integral index of transport infrastructure development, assessment of trends and imitation of predicted calculations, the introduction of five-level classification scale and the classification of MEDA countries by the degree of development of transport infrastructure.
