The study examines the impact of ethical data management on the financial performance and reputation of IT companies. The analysis includes
20 companies involved in software development, creation of digital ecosystems, and production of hardware. Correlation analysis methods were used to
assess the relationships between privacy policies, data usage transparency, data protection levels, data breach prevention measures, and economic indicators
(market capitalization, revenues, profits, stock prices).
The results show that for large companies, strict ethical standards contribute to improved financial performance and strengthened trust among users
and investors. Medium-sized companies are beginning to show positive changes, whereas small companies face challenges due to high costs of maintaining
ethical standards. They need to balance between data security and the ability to quickly scale their systems for growth.
The study underscores the necessity of developing data management strategies that consider the size of the company and its market capitalization to
achieve long-term sustainability and competitiveness in the digital economy
