Renewable energy in BRICS: contours of mainstream

The article examines the development trends of renewable energy in the BRICS countries. The focus is on wind and solar energy. The factors of accelerated growth of these areas of renewable energy. The main directions of research, development and innovative technological transformations in these industries are disclosed. The dynamics of the costs of generation and the cost of electricity from wind and solar stations in various countries of the world are analyzed. The forecast estimates of the development of wind and solar energy in the BRICS countries up to 2050 are presented
