Corporate innovation systems in the rail industry: country specifics and position in the main industry models
Russian companies often derive fairly little attention to the relevant foreign experience in terms of their innovative growth. In this article an analysis of corporate innovation systems in railway industry has been carried out with the focus on the assessment of the elements of innovative infrastructure addressing not only representative companies in sample countries but also market models («ministry», «corporatization», «regulated market», «laissez-faire» models). The study highlighted a number of successful practices of operating corporate innovation systems: delegation of certain functions to related ministries or/and companies, staff exchanges with foreign and domestic partners and others. Among effective innovation infrastructure elements one can mention industry institutes and universities, scientific «center of centers», corporate «fund of funds», as well as business accelerators
