Methods of the atmosphere vertical probing. History and promising technical solutions

The article discusses the history of the creation and application of the first vertical atmosphere probing rockets. The features that reduce the effectiveness of traditional meteorological rocket systems are noted. Are described promising technical solutions that will make possibility to launch rockets from a high altitude and a point with any geographical coordinates using aerostatic carriers, which will expand the possibilities of studying the upper layers of the atmosphere
