The application of the shared governance approach in Russian universities: the formulation of the problem and the direction of improvement

In the article the authors considered the decision-making system in the entrepreneurial university governance structure, implemented on the basis of the shared governance system. It is demonstrated that the shared governance approach allows the transition to a model of competitive management in the universities, characterized by the professionalization of administrative staff, and simultaneously saves the academic nature of the institution of higher education. Authors formulate a number of recommendations concerning implementation of the shared governance approach within the Russian higher education system, based on the analysis of foreign and domestic experience in the development of the institution of entrepreneurial universities
