In May of 2013 the Government of St. Petersburg has adopted the strategy of economic and social development of St. Petersburg for the period up to 2030 This article is a brief description of the received document, defining as a top priority socio-economic development of the city, sustainable economic growth. In turn, to achieve such growth in the circumstances can only be based on the knowledge economy, which is characterized, in large part, the widespread use of new technologies and innovations.
