Automation of the material tensile testing process

This paper explores a way to automate the process of tensile testing of a material by upgrading a tensile testing machine, considered as obsolete equipment, to create an automated testing stand on its basis. In the course of the work, the main characteristics of the modernization object — the tensile testing machine — were described, unique parts necessary for installing non-standard primary converters used during modernization were manufactured, components of the conversion circuit were selected, and special software was installed on a personal computer for processing the received data. The stand was assembled and tested by tensile testing a material sample. The author believes that the considered relatively simple method of automating the process will make it possible to return into operation the working equipment of laboratories and enterprises, which is outdated from the point of view of measuring quantities and processing the data obtained, creating test benches on its basis
