Own potential of technological modernization of industrial

The guidelines and mechanisms for activating the modernization processes of modern industrial enterprises are discussed. The results of the study of innovation activity and the impact of various factors on the industrial enterprises of St. Petersburg are presented. The role of an industrial enterprise as a systemforming socio-economic element that performs in the production process, along with the functions of the customer and consumer of innovations, the tasks of innovative modernization through internal generation of new knowledge and technological transfer are analyzed. The social aspect and the role of production teams as a own potential for improving the efficiency of the economy, realizing existing opportunities and overcoming barriers are highlighted
