The factors of investment and economic efficiency (on the data of the agricultural enterprises of North- West Russia)
The article investigates the impact on the investment efficiency of agricultural enterprises such factors as the scale of the enterprise (the amount of used resources and output), form of ownership, organizational-legal form, region and belonging to agricultural holdings by using the regression analysis. Sources of data are financial reports of agricultural enterprises of the North-West of Russia. Equations were built in the form of a Cobb–Douglas production function for panel data for 2001-2012, and equations for individual years. It turned out that agricultural holdings in the post-crisis period (2008-2012) has ceased to be more efficient agricultural producers than companies that are not included in them and more effective investors in fixed capital. From the regions of the Northwestern Federal district the greatest investment efficiency demonstrated mostly Leningrad oblast, and the highest economic efficiency Vologda oblast. For investment efficiency, none of the forms of ownership showed apparent leadership. For economic efficiency most often were the leaders the enterprises of state ownership form (five years from twelve). On investment and economic efficiency no legal form demonstrated leadership
