Value-oriented identification and structuring of the organization’s intellectual capital

The article defined the specific content elements of intellectual capital in terms of their value to the organization, value is determined by the categories of utility and rarity. Utility expressed in the ability to generate intangible resources commercially valuable ideas and solutions, as well as ensure their implementation. Rarity creates natural barriers, which are determined by people’s thinking abilities, as well as artificially created patent-legal, technical, organizational and other barriers. А clear definition of the essential content elements of intellectual capital to avoid blurred concepts of «success», «reputation», «goodwill», which by the utility does not correspond to the intellectual capital, and within the meaning of the result of its operation. Elements of intellectual capital are structured depending on the placement of knowledge, the separation from the organization, the possibilities of patent law protection, changes in value over time.
