The reuse of scrap tires remains a serious environmental concern and a business opportunity. This paper describes the potential of the scrap tires liquefaction to produce enhanced products. This process reticulating solvent assisted produce mainly oils and carbon black products. The more effective technology using petroleum residue as solvent is developed. The liquefaction of scrap tires crumb in vacuum residue combined subsequent thermo oxidation is capable of producing bitumen with enhanced properties.
