Биочипы: от академических изысканий к молекулярной медицине
Biochips equipped with a biochip reader and proper software is a promising diagnostic tool of the 21-st century which allows to analyze a biological sample simultaneously by many parameters. The paper outlines the history of this new high-tech branch of biotechnology as viewed by one of the founders of this innovative approach. The EIMB’s team led by academician Mirzabekov remains among the world’s leaders in this important and fastly growing field. The versatile, flexible and inexpensive biochips developed in EIMB RAS have been successfully tested in a number of practical applications, and they are already used for fast and highly informative analysis in biology, medicine and some other areas of research and industry.
