Principles of multi-sided platforms

Multi-sided platforms are a new research subject in the fields of economics and management, which started to rapidly attract the attention of Russian and foreign scientists. Even though many innovative companies already use this business model, as a consequence of the scientific topic being new, the principles of determining a multi-sided platform are not yet clear. In this article the latest scientific works on the subject are integrated to determine the definition of multi- sided platforms and identify the peculiarities of organizations, which use this business model.
