The Branches of Science in a New Model of Innovation Process

The article discusses the role and place of the branches of science in traditional and modern models of innovation process. The modified multiple-factor model of innovation process which shows interrelations and factors that define applied research areas within a production cycle of an innovation firm is considered. Open innovation as one of external sources of scientific and technological information influencing the choice of applied research areas and the organization of innovation production is considered.
